ArtNU is a multi-media outlet that encourages artistic expression by staff and faculty members at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. ArtNU also hosts a month-long multi-media art exhibit at its permanent gallery at the Curry Student Center.

In 2005 we were the recipient of the Northeastern University President’s Aspiration Award for our work founding the group and for producing an inclusive and meaningful event for the entire community to enjoy. For the past 3 years we've worked hard to keep the ArtNU mission going strong.

Our Mission

To foster a sense of community, and to spotlight the creativity and diversity of the University’s staff and faculty.

Our History

The ART NU Staff and Faculty Art Exhibit, was conceived as a way to develop a strong sense of community and affiliation among the diverse groups of people and employees at Northeastern University. Its existence reflects NU’s commitment to be a university that is both encouraging and supportive, not only of its students, but its staff and faculty.

With financial and moral support from the President, Provost, and numerous others, ART NU, the University’s first ever staff and faculty art exhibit was held August to September 2004 at Northeastern University’s Glass Gallery. NU President Richard Freeland spoke at the Grand Opening, to nearly 200 guests who came to view the fifty-six pieces of art by forty exhibitors.
